  As an elementary school teacher I lead K-4 elementary art classes inclusive of paint, clay, assemblage, collage, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, and fiber arts. I am proud to run a mindful classroom that provides the emotional support and awareness needed to sculpt the whole child. As a Labsite teacher, I have collaboratively created and provided professional development for the SA Visual Arts Network inclusive of all the elementary art teachers across multiple boroughs. As a content lead I have worked in collaboration to provide mentorship, curriculum, and teacher training. We have provided our teachers with resources such as sample scope and sequences by grade, unit plans, and support for school based events. My personal curriculum choices currently involve social justice and collaboration as a means of empowering the voices of the youth to use art making as a way to be heard. Show less
