Busch Gardens has established itself as a unique, thrilling addition to the Sea World Parks and Entertainment franchise by proving guests with incredible experiences and lasting memories. The Williamsburg park is unique in its European themeing and brings guests up close and personal with both traditional and contemporary cuisine, architecture and entertainment. Germany, in particular, is known for the large performance space affectionately called the Festhaus. Upon entry, guests are welcomed by a beir garden where they can purchase bottled and draught beers, wine and pretzels. They are served by German beer maidens dressed in traditional dirndls and interact with the guests on a personal level. My experience as a beer maiden has been exciting and fulfilling as I engage guests as "Heide" from Leipzig, Germany. I have received extensive culinary and entertainment training, including how to properly pour beer and maintain a bar environment, operate a till and process monetary transactions, the correct and legal process for selling alcohol, character development and back story, make-up and costume prep, food safety and more. Furthermore, guests are exposed to the Dark Side of the Gardens, or Howl-O-Scream, shortly after the Summer Season Peak ends. The park transforms into a Halloween themed thrill-seeking adventure as guests are spooked and scared around every corner. Busch Gardens added 5 new Terror-tories to their European map, with Italy featuring a ghastly crew of scurvy pirates. As "Cutthroat Clara", I entertained guests, alongside my crew mates, with riveting tales of sea-monsters, fierce battles and occasional forlorn paramours while serving up their favorite alcoholic concoction. I was extensively trained in hair/makeup preparation, accent training, proper pouring technique, customer satisfaction and retail processes. Show less

While at Aeropostale, I worked as part of the sales team to achieve the daily sales goal and create customer loyalty. I greeted every customer with a smile and a savvy sales pitch, helped with merchandising, assisted in floor displays, and advertised for promotional events. As a model for Aero, I dressed in the same clothes we had on display in order to help the customer get a sense of what the clothes and accessories looked like on an actual person. It was also easier to explain the different fits and styles to a customer if I already knew how the product was worn. Aero promoted a GIVE 10 policy which encouraged employees to put everything they had into their work (giving a ten out of 1-10). Show less
