    • Editorial and Web Assistant
      • Feb 2015 - Jul 2016

Working with the small team of four extremely talented women at ADULT has been an amazing learning opportunity. I have volunteered my time with them because I believe in what they are doing, and was first and foremost a fan. In my capacity as editorial and web assistant, I handle the web production on the Wordpress site, including building and editing our pieces, and keeping the team organized and on task with all our upcoming pieces to be published. I have also enjoyed doing some of my own writing for them, having published three of my own interviews. Since the team is so small, I have also had the opportunity to assist with our digital strategy and to use google analytics to help us reach new goals with audience engagement. I also regularly contribute to the magazine’s Tumblr account, which is a fun exercise is staying on brand while still leaving room for some surprise. A few of the pieces I wrote & photographed while at Adult: https://web.archive.org/web/20160814131501/http://adult-mag.com:80/leticia-trandafir-morning-after/ https://web.archive.org/web/20160501095057/http://adult-mag.com/exclusive-jay-miriam/ https://web.archive.org/web/20160810003246/http://adult-mag.com:80/zoe-ligons-bone-dry-mornings/ Show less

    • Creative Director & Co-Founder
      • Jul 2011 - Jun 2016

As the magazine's co-founder, I have done a lot of multitasking and big picture thinking, as well as running things and handling little details of daily operations. We launched Inconnu with a successfully overfunded Kickstarter campaign, which required a lot of fan engagement and outreach on social media, as well as writing what was a essentially like a grant proposal. Over the course of the past four and half years, I have done a lot of writing and editing, as well as seeking out young talent and commissioning stories, interviews, and art. For our three print issues, two zines, and digital issues, I was in charge of all the design, layout and artistic direction, which was a fun challenge and exciting opportunity for me to utilize my artistic abilities. I have enjoyed leading our team on audience engagement through social media, and working to maintain a distinctive voice for our brand. This has been the role that has taught me more than any other I have had thus far, simply because I have had to be accountable to myself and my staff of 25+ who rely on my leadership and creative problem solving.
