Interact and encourage volunteers while sharing information about the benefits of organic production, rotational grazing and sustainable practices in terms of reducing the impact of agriculture on the Chesapeake Bay. Position responsibilities include harvesting vegetables, calculating donations, determining CSA shares as well as assisting with animal care.

Maryland Watershed Restoration Assistant

Responsible for pre-event preparation and post event organization and data entry, and working with adult and family volunteers at the restoration events. Responsibilities include volunteer recruitment, site preparation, native tree loading and transporting to planting sites. Post-event work includes data entry and volunteer follow up.

Chesapeake Conservation Corps at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation

Presently working at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation as a part of a year long term with the Chesapeake Conservation Corp program. Working in the EPR (Environmental Protection and Restoration) Division I assist with a number of projects. -Land Restoration: native tree maintenance, plantings, coordinating volunteers for wetland and other tree plantings namely forest buffer implementation on agriculture fields-Oyster Restoration: assisting with the deployment of spat on shell from CBF's boat, the Patricia Campbell, seeding oyster shell, helping coordinate the oyster gardening programs and expanding the SOS (Save Oyster Shell) recycling program. -Buy Fresh Buy Local: Worked to Relaunch the Buy Fresh Buy Local Chesapeake Chapter which is managed by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, work includes developing a more consise, user friendly webpage, creating a updated interactive food guide and educating the public on the benefits of local foods especially within the Bay Watershed through the promotion of the program. -Clagett Farm: Helped with maintenance of the native tree nursery at the farm as well as assisting with land care, and basic animal care on the sustainable farm.

Worked with Washington College to support the Maryland State Police DUI detachment and other LEA's that partner with MHSO (Maryland Highway Safety Office). Projects include and are not limited to GIS analysis, mapping as well as maintenance of databases for DUI arrests, violations and liquor license locations. -Developed analytic skills and knowledge of computers systems utilized in GIS by using ArcGIS to create maps and products to interpret data of activity for State Funded Projects. -Improved the current liquor license database using online research to update the names, addresses, XY coordinates and liquor license type in order to assign priorities to businesses. -Identified areas of higher numbers of establishments with liquor licenses and created liquor license zonal maps. -Updated official Post Patrol Analysis maps to show the effectiveness of the Maryland SPIDRE team-Aided in correction and maintenance a database of DUI/DWI arrest locations (ETIX)-Creating hotspot maps to identify areas of higher density -Metadata processing and input -Utilized basic cartographic outlines and other forms of cartography to show data -Provided feedback on the GMS User Manual

-I worked on a number of different projects which ranged from updating the alumnae database, creating professional posters for display at open houses. -Additionally my work focused on the McLain Program for Environmental Studies. The program is devoted to enhancing the commitment of the College to aspects of scientific importance in the multidisciplinary study of the environment. The program has played a leading role in exploring the ways by which environmental studies can be integrated into curricular and extracurricular activities at Washington College. My role was to enhancing the program through research of speakers and organizations to visit the college as well as promoting the events through advertisement. -I gained experience in liveWhale software which I used to update and manage the program website at the college level.
