1987 - 1998 Bankone Belleville, MI Customer Accounting Department  Worked for NBD in May of 1987 in Alpena, MI in the Sorting Department. This position was entry level and allowed me to use my computer and accounting skills to further myself while I attended college. My position was eliminated due to downsizing and I was then placed in the Proof Department and Customer Accounting Department as needed until December 1998.  Transferred to NBD of Ann Arbor, MI in January 1990 in their Lockbox Department. My position was as a Data Entry Person, in which I applied payments to business accounts with high accuracy. Assisted with mail sorting and mail opening.  Transferred from the Lockbox Department into the Customer Accounting Department in 1993. Was responsible for multiple branch offices on overdrawn accounts, fraud, and crime prevention. Also handled month end statements, microfiche, and special desk assignments.  During this time frame NBD went through multiple mergers: NBD to First Chicago/NBD to Bankone (currently: JP Morgan Chase).  Served on a team to evaluate quality control; our team implemented policies to improve quality in all departments, as well as improve employee morale.
