      • As part of my Sports Science with Exercise Physiology Degree, I had the opportunity to complete a 10-week placement with the Phase III Cardiac Rehabilitation team at Beaumont Hospital. • My role involved working with a multidisciplinary team to design and implement cardiac rehabilitation programs for patients recovering from cardiac events. • I was responsible for monitoring the cardiac rehabilitation classes conducted on a daily basis. • I also enhanced my skills in the area of physiology, for example, I learnt how to read an electrocardiogram, I conducted stress tests, I became proficient in taking blood pressure and I enhanced my knowledge and understanding of the different medication involved in cardiology.
