Work as a research assistant at the Levitt Lab studying opioid induced respiratory depression. Utilize patch clamp electrophysiology, mice perfusion and brain removal, as well as vibratome/cryostat brain slicing in order to analyze the neuronal activity of the Kölliker-Fuse nucleus and Pre-Bötzinger complex in order to further understand their roles in medulla-controlled breathing cycles. Currently researching the effects of GPCR inhibitors as a potential treatment against opioid overdose. Work as a research assistant at the Levitt Lab studying opioid induced respiratory depression.
