My time at Flynn was spent tearing down and replacing the roof at the Fish Creek public library. I was tasked with the removal of the old roof and the materials that were left over after the tear down as well as prepping and installing the new roof. I spent the summer working in a small diverse team that needed to work efficiently to accommodate the changing weather conditions and construction constraints. My role as a delivery person was to deliver and set up appliances from the warehouse to the customers home. I was also responsible for appliance installation as well as cleanup of packing materials and removal of old appliances. I was also required to deal with any customer issues such as a damaged product or answering questions about usage. Responsible for the safety of up to 10 children in the pool at a time, teaching correct stroke technique, water safety, first aid, CPR and fun as appropriate to course level and age of children.
