Operations Manager USA Gulf Of Mexico
-
Oct 2008 - Oct 2011
Responsible for all D&M Operations for the Gulf Coast Region, an amazing 3 year period. My arrival coincided with the world economy crash and we had to adjust to the impacts as a result. One year later after we rebuilt the business then the Macondo tragedy and ramifications felt across the industry turned the business upside down once again, despite Schlumberger D&M not being involved. This challenge of trying to find positions for 400 people for 12 months was worthwhile as we restructured and ended up with an improved facility and came out ahead of the competition- a technical and mentally strong team. As a result the business results were outstanding throughout, along with developing friendships for life.
