- Testing/characterization of high pressure RP-2 turbo-pump prototype. - Build-up and testing of modular GOX/RP-2 igniter assembly and preburner for evaluation of platlette and additive manufacturing components, and injector configurations. - Conducted instrumentation tests at our J85 Test Stand facility, coordinating test plan requirements and customer requests with throttle operators. - Wrote and maintained operational and emergency procedures for J85 Test Stand and Aerothermal Measurements Lab. - Developed and maintained training materials for J85 Test Stand. - Assisted with test planning for J85 Test Stand, including logistics, site setup, scheduling, etc. - Designed various brackets, fittings, and fixtures using AutoCAD to accommodate specialized instrumentation and/or rakes. - Assisted with the development of new fabrication methods for heat flux gages in the Aerothermal Measurements Lab. - Presented pre-test Safety Review Boards and Test Readiness Reviews to Air Force and ATA safety and operations representatives. - Assisted with development of SBIR requirements for replacement high heat flux null-point calorimeter calibration system. - Analyzed performance of Elevated Temperature Calibration System for measuring temperature effects on heat flux gage response. - Determined test configuration (cooling water flow, electrical needs, safety requirements, etc.) for testing at J85 Test Stand. - Developed Baseline Hazard Analyses for the J85 Test Stand and commonly used test equipment (emissions measurement systems, rake traverse, water-cooled rakes and periscopes, etc.) as well as Test-Peculiar Hazard Analyses for specific tests. - Post test analysis of engine health monitoring data, as well as test data (as required) with Excel and MatLab. - Modified existing LabView VI's to improve usability.
