Working in a very time pressured environment, that requires me to change and adapt my role on a daily basis. Duties include: Loading and unloading of trailers and trucks, Daily Stock taking as well as management of stock loss. Collating orders in a timely manner and ensuring they’re loaded correctly. Being vigilant of health and safety procedures and highlighting any issues with same. Flexibility in role coverage due to annual leave/sick leave. Ensuring time is managed efficiently and all tasks are completed at the end of each day.

Due to my keen interest in sports and fitness as well as my desire to help people be the best they can be, I opened my own Gym in 2015. Through this I gained and improved on a number of skills including: balancing customer service with volume of business. Managing a team, ensuring their customer service is at a high level as well as keeping the team motivated. Learning the day to day tasks involved in running your own business, Payroll completion, performance management and day to day logistics. I’m a very good communicator and good at building rapport with people owning the gym only added to these skills.

Supervisor/Team Leader

Jan 2003 - Jan 2015
I started in the company as a forklift driver and worked my way up to supervisor. I did this by showing my ability to manage my workload whilst keeping to tight timelines as well as adhering to all Health and Safety procedures. In my role as supervisor I was managing 10 members of staff ensuring performance and customer service were kept at a high level. Management of a challenging workload as well as ensuring sufficient staff coverage over shift periods. I feel that starting as a driver and working my way up to management gave me invaluable understanding of the challenges faced by staff and it resulted in the staff trusting me to support them whilst ensuring the work was managed efficiently and effectively each day.
