Now and then, you come across an individual who impacts and amplifies your thinking, provides excellent advice and mentoring, and can be entirely respected for both his personal work and public work. Keith Miller is precisely that kind of individual. This is a man who personally under-rates the impact he has on franchising and Franchisees, the ever-increasing need for transformational change, and how he quietly yet daily works on behalf of Franchisees and organizations in dire need of franchise change. It has nothing to do with his ego. You rarely hear about or read of the work he does. Yet, his influence goes right to the top of the Federal Trade Commission, Legislative Representatives, and the very bills and proposed legislation that he develops, designs, and brings to those capable of instituting change. Moreover, Keith does this at a great personal expense, both on his own time away from his businesses when necessary and at his own monetary cost. I came to know Keith nearly a year ago and understood what his "advocacy" was all about. You can't help but be deeply influenced by his passion for having today's franchisors do the "right thing" and consider the plight of Cherished Franchisees who are put aside by those organizations who pretend to work for all in franchising. It is as effective as it is impressive. I've learned much from Keith, which I am deeply grateful for and continue to learn through his effort and position(s) with the American Association of Franchisees and Dealers (AAFD) and his always helpful influence on organizations that serves and supports Franchisees of which there are many. It is a personal honor and privilege to know and work with Keith to pursue franchising excellence, advocacy, and the AAFD Franchisee Bill of Rights (https://bit.ly/3KibmcX) and Fair Franchising Standards. Thank you, Keith, for all you do on behalf of the so many voiceless individuals who need precisely that which you promote. Onward and upward, my friend.
