Captain on M/Y Magnifico I took command of this Mangusta 105 #29 when she was undergoing a 6months refit. I joined the vessel on the 3rd month and oversee and manage the final steps of the refit job. I Delivered the yacht to her owner 3months later. She's a privately own yacht operating on the Mini ISM system. She is used regularly by her owner for personal or business trip. My main responsibilities include the following: running the deck, line handling, rope work, ensuring that the yacht is safe at all times, tender runs, passage plans, organizing the watch list, assisting the captain in maneuvering the yacht, taking command of the yacht as relief captain, dry docking, guest service, keeping the deck well maintained, making sure yacht safety equipment are up to date, fire drills and dry dock hull out maintenance. It was a great experience for me to join M/Y AD5 as she was a new build from Turkey; completely different from all the yachts I've worked on as First Mate. It was my job to ensure that the deck was stocked with all of the equipment and products necessary for a new build. Splice and prepare all docking and fender lines. My main responsibilities included the following: assisting the Captain in maneuvering the yacht, running the deck, making sure the yacht was safe and clean at all times, accounting, safety drills, line handling, rope work, paint job repairs, gel coat repairs, engine maintenance, generator water maker, AC system check, tender runs, dry docking hull out maintenance, logging and making sure that the yacht safety equipment is up to date. I joined M/Y Krista in early 2010. It was a great opportunity for me to advance myself in my career as she was doing a season in the Mediterranean and a season in the Middle East. I left Dubai late April 2010 and M/Y Krista was shipped to Marmaris, Turkey where we did 2 seasons cruising the Greek Islands,Turkish coastline and the Agean Sea. Show less

Keeping the yachts safe and clean at all times, preparing the yachts for boat shows, passage planning, running the deck, dry docking, AC system, generator and water maker system check, main engines check, navigation system check, assisting the Captain in maneuvering the yacht. Joining this company was when yachting all started for me. At that time I was based in Dubai. I did three boat shows, saw the opening of Yas Island. It was a great experience as I met a lot of new people. It was, however, challenging at first for me to adapt but I got along very well with everybody. The first yacht that I worked on was a 31m Leopard. She was shipped from France to Dubai and we only had four days to get her ready before the 2008 Abu Dhabi Boat Show. Show less
