My responsibilities were maintaining, monitoring and creation of servers as well as IT support, and security on all systems. Everything that we do is linux based, so therefore I work on the terminal/command line majority of the time. I have installed and worked with windows, and most linux distributions, such as fedora, ubuntu, mint, arch linux, redhat, debian and others.I have set up a number of servers, with different purposes, such as samba file sharing, apache, DNS, DHCP, firewall (iptables, firewalld, pfsense), PostgreSQL, NodeJS, Squid proxy and others. I provided IT support to a number of our windows clients while maintaining their network.I have dealth with KVM virtualization.I also installed and configured PFSense on our own setup, as well as for our clients, using most of its benefits.I also had a lot of exposure to bash scripting. Handling of many clients data in a build up towards an annual expo where tens of thousands of visitors visit, and exhibit their products. It was my responsibility to make sure that all the details within the database were correct. I had to sort out the data in such a way that there were no duplicate contacts etc. I was then given the responsibility to bring in new clients who would like to be a part of the expo next year.
