  My assigned duties involved providing assistance to users in relation to their ICT needs, both physically and remotely, such as providing workstations and peripherals, upgrading / replacing faulty components on computers, laptops, and peripherals, installing a variety of operating systems, OS images, Microsoft Office and other applications, drivers for corporate printers and other hardware, mapping network drives, resolving issues related to software such as updates, crashes, and optimizations, and drafting manuals. I have also done network infrastructure to connect my colleagues to the network and provide communication through telephony. This involved routing, terminating, and testing Ethernet (RJ45) and Telephony (RJ11) cables, connecting CCTV cameras, and managing switches and servers. While fulfilling these duties, I was also involved in a number of projects due to my background in software development, such as the development of systems to organize data and aid our work, as well as that of my colleagues. These systems included; the Asset Management System to organize inventory and movements of workstations and peripherals, web forms to be used by employees for easier data entry, Web GIS system to allow projection of high resolution raster images and shapefiles over google maps and OpenStreetMap, with tools such as measure (length and area) and street search, and multiple scripts for automation of repetitive and time consuming tasks.
