I have worked closely with Keith for several years and have always been impressed with his diligence and effectiveness in any environment he finds himself. He has a proven track record in self-development and is an inspiration to those he works with. Keith has excellent leadership skills, which are based on a strong ethos of following values based leadership. That said, I view his strongest asset as being his humility and astute ability to identify his own strengths and weaknesses, which have always provided opportunities to maximise success and limit failure. I have witnessed Keith flourishing as both a leader and a follower and he has the qualities of patience and a non-judgemental attitude, which he has gained through working with a multitude of cultures within the military. Keith also possesses keen analytical skills gained from completing an honour’s degree and several postgraduate diplomas have provided him with the ability to think critically. On many occasions I have observed Keith identify problems and recommend solutions prior to the problem occurring. In summary, he is a real problem solver.

I had the pleasure and privilege of working with Keith when I was his Company Commander. Keith is an incredibly effective team leader who has the rare ability to simultaneously attend to the task in hand whilst also considering team dynamics and how best to develop the individuals within it. He is an astute judge of character and has a proven track record in identifying the potential of the people he leads. He back this judgement by stretching but not overburdening those he sees as having the potential to grow; and had an impressive record in developing future leaders. He is a natural manager, leader and team player and it is has been a joy to see him grow both as an individual and as a professional. I’m confident the best is yet to come.

As an LDO I was responsible for the personal and professional development of soldiers and officers within my area of responsibility (Four major units). This would range from bespoke interventions for individual resettlement cases, all the way up to running strategic change workshops for individual units. Alongside these responsibilities I was delivering mandatory Command, Leadership and Management training to the Field Army. Some of the topics taught were: -Managing Change -Subordinate Development -Command and Decision making tools -Defence Policy -Critical Thinking -Communicate Effectivley This was a hugely rewarding post that has given me the opportunity to study business development tools in depth, and understand how to apply them in the correct context.
