Todd Ellermann
As I was building a team for lynda.com, it was clear to me that Kevin was the kind of Enterprise/Senior Architect that I would need to make the organization successful. In my experience Kevin is the best Enterprise level architect that I have had the pleasure to work with. As a direct, and later indirect report, I was comfortable with his technical decisions, enjoyed his willingness to explore different technologies that I threw at him, and saw immediate value in his requirements gathering, business process modeling, and application architecture recommendations. I would rehire Kevin as an enterprise/application architect in any future endeavor that I participated in. His departure from lynda.com was a function of the organizations business decision to outsource development. I believe his departure was/will be to the serious detriment of the organization.

Kevin has the best facility with abstractions, and is the most competent person at translating those abstractions into software architecture that I have ever worked with. His work is outstanding.
