During the second half of this placement I ran harvest logistics, crop monitoring and allocating teams when needed, ensuring they harvest the correct crop in the correct manner and all the logistics surrounding this task

  Grew up on a multidisciplinary farm in Zimbabwe incorporating both arable and livestock. Involvement in management decisions has taught me critical thinking and allowed me to develop my decision making skills. Managing over 250 workers on a permanent basis has grown my people skills, allowing me to work as a part of a team alongside other managers. A large emphasis has always been placed on sustainable development. Work is always hands on, helping out erect civils such as solar pump stations, grain handling facilities and curing tunnels. This has taught me vital skills such as implement calibration, forward thinking, pest management, irrigation construction, sustainable development, metal fabrication, tractor and implement rebuilds and teamwork.
