Operations Manager

A subsidiary of Mega Fortris Group, the second largest seal manufacturer in the world with an annual turnover of $200 million. As Operations Manager, I orchestrated task assignment, program oversight, and evaluation of Operations, Warehousing, Shipping, Purchasing, and Accounts, in addition to establishing strategic plans aimed at growing the business through capitalising on new opportunities and shoring up areas of challenge. Create a consistent understand of operations through detailed reports designed for executive leaders. Lead risk management efforts and respond to emerging issues as necessary. Key Accomplishments:• Dramatically increased revenue by 50% in FYE15/16 with an improvement in Gross Profit Margins, in addition to a steady increase of 15% annually since 2014. • Consistently increased revenue by 15% since 2014. • Developed and submitted four government tenders, successfully receiving all four. • Increased company value by adding new clients through development of new products and creation of new value through existing products. • Coordinated the supply chain process and subsequently the successful distribution of products on behalf of the Australian Electoral Commission for crucial security components used in the Australian 2016 Federal Election. • Drove innovation in the design and manufacturing partners for a custom laboratory blood and urine testing product which has been implemented in New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland. Plant Manager

Headquarters of Mega Fortris Group, the second largest security seal manufacturer in the world, conducting injection moulding as well as laser marking, silkscreen printing, pad printing and hot stamping. As Plant Manager, I oversaw 400 personnel in the production department, presiding over the manufacture and quality of new and existing products as well as providing technical expertise to the sales team. Maintained responsibility for the growth of the manufacturing department, and implemented ISO systems including ISO9001:2008, ISO14001:2004, and ISO177712:2013. Drive process improvement using 5S, Kanban, Poka Yoke, Value Stream Mapping, and FMEA as a response to comprehensive evaluation, working both independently or as part of a collaborative team to institute sustainable solutions. Worked in collaboration with the Group CEO to set strategic goals and the Group Accountant to develop and maintain the budget. Drove production increase from a 20,000ft2 building that produced 8 million seals a month to an 80,000ft2 building that manufactured 20 million seals a month. Responsible over main manufacturing facility in Malaysia and satellite manufacturing facility in Shaoxing, China with a combined total production of over 500,000 seals per annum. Key Accomplishments:• Maintained an actual rejection rate of just 0.003% for actual reject rate for mass production. • Decreased costs and increased gross profit margin by implementing Lean Six Sigma principles and achieving Continuous Improvement in the manufacturing process, successfully maintaining an AQL 1.5 S2 quality control level. • Slashing total production costs by reducing the need for outside sub-contractors while successfully creating the brand value that the Mega Fortris group produces all components in-house and guarantees 100% quality acceptance level. • Created a culture of professional growth through development of an employee grading system and a new way of accessing resources. A new division of Mega Fortris in joint venture with DigiCore Ltd, the largest GPS Fleet Management company in South Africa. Collaborated to establish methods to decrease costs and increase revenue, in addition to working with the Group Accountant to prepare and implement the company budget.
