I was the Director of Research where my primary responsibilities were to research emerging technologies in new media and how these will impact learning, teaching and creative inquiry, which are the foundations of the New Media Consortium. Responsibilities included excavating, documenting and managing deepwater archaeology sites for both biological and cultural preservation. Included living on and operating 100-ton research vessel to collect and produce video data from ROVs and remote camera systems working in water as deep as 3000 feet.
