I serve as a Software Engineer at The Bid Lab, where I am instrumental in shaping both the strategic direction and technical execution of our flagship product, Bid Banana. Leveraging a multifaceted skill set, I lead initiatives that span architectural decisions, front-end and full-stack development, team management, UI/UX design, and content strategy. Key Responsibilities: Architectural Oversight: Entrusted with the end-to-end architecture of our application, I ensure scalability, reliability, and optimal performance from backend to frontend. Front-End & Full-Stack Development: Not only do I oversee front-end implementation using React, but I am also deeply involved in developing full-stack features. This includes orchestrating the MVP and perpetually enhancing our platform's functionality, one key example being the 'Saved Search' feature. Engineering Leadership: I manage a high-performing team of backend developers, directing them in the production and data management for our extensive database and platform. UI/UX : I hold full ownership over all UI and UX design elements, employing React for front-end implementation and Figma and Adobe Illustrator for graphic design. Content Strategy: Beyond core technical responsibilities, I have implemented a headless CMS for our corporate blog and manage a team of content writers, focusing on SEO-optimized publications. Spotlight: 'Saved Search' One of my standout contributions is the 'Saved Search' feature, engineered for user efficiency. It removes the tedium of repetitive queries, enabling one-click save and recall of search criteria. Elevated by its real-time notification system, the feature sends auto-emails when new bids match saved criteria, acting like a personal bidding assistant for our users.
