  Working as a Labourer for Pat Cassidy Groundwork Services. Being on site and seeing first hand the work a Grounds-worker does enlightened me in to the thinking behind installing aspects such as Water, Gas and Electric mains including such depths that are required for each and the reasoning behind. During this time-frame the knowledge in which I acquired has helped me develop my thought process when on placement with BSG Civil Engineering and I was able to visualize the works taking place and what was required for the projects I worked on with BSG as I had seen / had done it personally on site with Pat Cassidy Groundwork's. I believe this hands on form of employment has grown me into what will hopefully be a better Quantity Surveyor as aspects like pipe-laying, road installation, reinstatement, foundation excavation and installation I have been apart of on site.
