Business Development & Partnerships - Developed strategic partnerships with local businesses in Mozambique to expand market share of the transit market. These local partnerships tripled our market share from 10% to 30% within 6 months from implementation - Deployed strategies to manage risk/reward for higher-risk markets. These strategies reduced the pricing risk held by our local partners, which ultimately reduced non-performance and default risk - Created models and business proposals for long term supply tenders, i.e., national supply tender for countries in Africa and Oceania, as well as military and mining supply tenders - Managed relationship with tank terminal companies for spot and long-term lease - Developed partnerships with power generation companies in Singapore. Monetized fuel held in tanks by pledging them as fuel reserves Trading & Hedging - Trade gasoil and jet in Mozambique, one of the key supply hubs for Central Africa - Manage the transit terminals in Beira and Matola for sales into neighboring countries via truck/rail/pipeline - Synthesize information from news, reports, models and market contacts to optimize resupply and cargo sales - Actively manage and hedge FX exposure for non-USD transactions - Provide extended credit terms and hedge working capital exposure through insurance and financial institutions
