Bio
Jack L.
Keanan hired me for my first programming job at Alpha Particle, a company he co-founded that focuses on web consulting and development. I could not have asked for a better technical lead. As a manager, he found the balance between letting us take ownership of our work and while making sure we did not go too far down an unproductive path. As CTO, he prioritized our growth by leading hack-Fridays, when we would come together as a team to mob program small side projects. Sometimes these projects focused on internal quality of life and sometimes they were a way of gaining familiarity with new technologies. Whatever Keanan had in store, we knew it would be fun and that we would acquire new skills. I grew substantially during my time on his team, and I know anyone who works with him will be able to say the same.

Keanan is one of the most driven, passionate, knowledgable, and hardworking individuals I’ve had the pleasure to work with and get to know. I started at Doejo while Keanan was an intern, and the amount of growth I’ve seen from him both professionally and personally has been remarkable. In 3 years he went from an intern to a leader at Doejo, successfully working on some of the company's most complex and high-profile projects to date. His contributions to the greater development community extends beyond Doejo, as Keanan regularly attends developer conferences, gives development talks, and actively contributes to his blog http://levelupwp.net/. Any team fortunate enough to have Keanan with them is stronger. I would jump at any opportunity to work with him again without hesitation.

Technical Architect
-
Dec 2016 - Mar 2017
As a Technical Architect at doejo I have broad visibility on a variety of ongoing projects, from initial leads to final retrospectives. I represent our strengths in technical leadership to clients, establish clear goals and guidance for project teams, and communicate KPIs to upper management on a regular basis. This role involves communication both externally and internally, serving to translate business needs into solutions, overseeing project teams, QA procedures, and removing technical roadblocks for the developers on projects to hit deadlines and budget requirements. In addition, I am actively involved in the higher level code decisions of a project: helping with architecture decisions, reviewing code when necessary and possible, and making improvement suggestions along the way. I assist in writing code when necessary to save time or when a problem is above the skill level of the project team. I am the go-to person when management needs a more technical status update on a project and can compliment project managers, specifically when working through dev issues. I'm also responsible for identifying potential risks as early as possible, proposing solutions to these potential issues, clearing roadblocks as they arise throughout the to ensure projects efficiently pass through QA and ensure our client's success.
