Working on the brand NIVEA, I learned a lot in my internship. My responsibilities included managing in-store marketing projects from start to finish, collaborating with creative agencies to design and produce POS materials, managing budgets, analyzing the impacts of in-store marketing efforts and completing in-depth competitor analyses. I learned to work cross-functionally with other departments, collaborate with production agencies and creative agencies, strengthen my communication skills, and learned to work efficiently on tight timelines. During my time at IPS, I managed various projects. Some have included the production of new training materials and videos, an office move, a renovation, and the creation and production of the annual report. From ideation to execution, I was responsible for the entirety of the projects, managing to meet all deadlines and remain within budget for all. During my time at IPS, I managed various projects. During my position at the Vancouver Island Health Authority I worked as a Program Assistant to an Assertive Community Treatment Team that assists individuals in the community who struggle with mental health and substance use. Through this position I learned value skills in time management, organization, team building, leadership and interpersonal communication. I completed daily tasks such as scheduling, maintaining a calendar for all team members, office ordering, transcribing notes, preparing for meetings, managing doctors schedule, maintaining client files, filing, and answer phone calls. During my time as VIHA I also assisted in opening a new Safe Injection Cite in the greater Victoria area. This entailed weekly meetings, ordering, corresponding with other facilities, researching products, designing and creating materials to raise awareness of the new site and organizing all incoming client charts. This was along side my full-time position as a Program Assistant. Show less

During my time at BC Association of Aboriginal Friendship Centres I had two titles. The first contract I completed was for the position of Assistant Events Coordinator and the second as the Cultural Events Coordinator. In both positions I helped organize the annual youth conference, Gathering Our Voices (GOV). With over 2,000 participants each year, GOV provides workshops, events, key note speakers, entertainment and education fairs for Aboriginal Youth in Canada. In my first roll I helped to organize events, organize catering, hire and liaise with key note speakers and entertainers, create floorpans, manage all social media accounts, create marketing and social media content, and create an event schedule. I was also required to be on sight each day of the conference and oversee all daily operations and finalize an annual report after the conference. In my second position as a Cultural Events Coordinator I researched Indigenous culture in British Columbia, hired cultural entertainment, liaised with elders, and oversaw all operations during cultural events. Again, I was asked to provide a report after the conference. Show less
