Experience

    • Information Technology Specialist / System Engineer, Site Reliability Engineering
      • Jan 2021 - Present

Working on a project to improve the system by implementing modern architecture and observablility - most likely using CNCF ecosystems - with the ideas of building teams and administrating systems based on site reliability engineering.

    • IT Technical Specialist / Global Infrastructure Group for Online Gaming
      • Jan 2020 - Dec 2020

Administrating and improving global gaming infrastructure by communicating with coworkers overseas in English most likely based on the ideas called "Follow-the-sun".I realized that it is hard to build FTS ideally NOT in terms of technology but organization, culture, the background of career, etc.Obtaining withdoms of production for kubernetes and developing/administrating container based systems was good experience for me.

Our team was highly motivated to deal with complicated issues in day to day work. But hard work had us gradually exhausted, I had come to think enabling sustainable work is essential for us. And then I was looking for the best solution which solves our issue. Finally I met the idea called SRE.We were helped by google's customer reliability engineer called CRE with building SRE team in our organization. Through taking CRE's hands-on session for about a week, SRE team in this company had been started. And I joined this team.At that hands-on session and at that team, I've learned two things. 1st, DevOps culture is necessary as precondition. Highly closed relationship between Dev and Ops team is needed to work on SRE tasks. Fortunately, as this company had already had culture of DevOps, It didn't matter. Without DevOps, it will be too hard to determine a lot of things about SRE.2nd, What to do first in the phase of determination about SRE is to define SLIs and SLOs based on "User Journey". Although SRE has many attractive ideas, such as automation, tooling, reducing the toil, measuring everything, etc, They are 2nd tier element. Without SLI/SLO, we won't be able to define correctly about these actions and indicators. That's all of things I've learned through building SRE team.

    • Server Infrastructure specialist and team manager
      • Jan 2015 - Dec 2019

This job was very tough and highly challenged in my career. As I had not had experience about server infrastrucure and also about cloud infrastructure.I made myself endeavor to catch up, and was struggling to contribute to the team. Eventually I had will become the manager of the server infra team.Through in this job, I could get a broader perspective based on well-experienced technical knowledge. For example, handling extreamly and sharply increasing traffic, cost managemnt increasing acording to server scaling-up, the strategy of hiring to atract applicant, inspiring to will of my colleagus to sustain their motivation.

    • Network Specialist
      • Oct 2007 - Dec 2014

I changed my job to take on the challenge for dealing with large-scale network system.I've learned about how to handle bottlenecks of the network infrastructure that grown up sharply. I realized that a massive scale and high-expensive network appliance was not necessarily the solution that solves network stucking comes from bottlenecks. And surprisingly in many cases, the cluster consisting of very cheap appliance that was load balanced by L3 switch with PBR performed extremely and was able to scale out more flexiblely. For example, the former had costed about more than $500k, latter less than $50k!Finally, through engaging in this job, I enjoyed working on network architecture which meets both cost and performance requirement.

    • Network Specialist
      • Apr 2002 - Sep 2007

I started my career as network engineer. I've learned a lot of skills in the field of networking, through using Cisco routers and switches, F5 LoadBalancer, and other internet appliances like firewall, vpn-gateway and so on.I've also learned skills in the field of server, through using Linux(redhat), IBM AIX.As this was the company that helps client company with building their network and server infrastructure, I as well have gotten the skills related to non-technical fields, such as Project Management, Team Building, Schedule Management. These skills still has been helpful for me in business.
