Food and Beverage Assistant

Sep 2015 - Present
I am currently working as a Food and Beverage Assistant in the largest hotel in Ireland, Citywest Hotel. I am relatively new to the hospitality sector but I am enjoying my work here. Working here has bettered my customer service skill phenomenally as well as all aspects of my communication skills. The position of Food and Beverage Assistant involves me dealing with the public on a daily basis so I am constantly bettering my customer service skills each time I start a shift. The position of Food and Beverage Assistant also involves cash handling, meaning I am constantly improving my numeric skills. I have also become efficient in maintaining a high standard of customer service while working in a busy, fast paced environment.

Customer Advisor

Sep 2014 - Jan 2015
I have worked in the position of Customer Advisor at Argos during the Christmas period of 2014. I had some minor retail experience which helped me in this role. As the Christmas period is such a busy time for this particular company it was essential for me to work efficiently and to remain customer focused. I found that this type of work came easy to me as I enjoy being kept busy and being challenged. I attended to many different duties within this company but my main duty was to serve customers on the cash registers. This job involved me interacting with the public which I enjoyed as I am a very friendly, talkative person, and helped me get comfortable with high tech registers.

Sales Assistant

Jul 2013 - Sep 2013
My time at Next Retail as a Sales Assistant was seasonal work, for their annual summer sale. Although my time with the company was short I found it very beneficial as I gained a lot of customer service experience in regards to dealing with difficult customers and situations. The role of Sales Assistant was very customer based and I dealt with reaching weekly targets. As a self motivated, optimistic person, reaching these targets came easy to me and I learned some lessons from my time with Next Retail that I will value for future careers.
