I have worked with this company since 2012 learning skills around time management, communication, and management. I have worked with hundreds of customers ranging from individuals who thourghally love our business to individuals who did not love the business, providing me with an array of communication skills. I was provided a key to the business in 2016, which entailed opening and closing the business when the bosses were unable to. This exemplifies the leadership and management skills I have developed. I work as a Behavior Health Professional with two children 4 days a week for approx. 20 hours. The individuals I work with are an individual with autism who is non-verbal and requires assistance with basic self-care tasks and regulation, and an individual with behavioral barriers who requires assistance with regulation and attention. These individuals have provided me with a wide array of skills to work with the pediatric population. I work as a Behavior Health Professional with two children 4 days a week for approx. 20 hours. At this facility, I had the opportunity to foster exceptional communication skills to build rapport and discuss treatment plans with clients, families, and interprofessionally. Developed appropriate techniques to approach and work through conflict. Demonstrated enhanced therapeutic use of self to develop and grade interventions that meet the needs of clients at varying levels. Assessed client’s strengths and areas of improvement to determine proper adaptive equipment and a suitable discharge plan to decrease chances of readmission. Show less

I completed a 12-week rotation at this facility. Throughout this rotation, I acquired skills around communication (both with the child and the parent), interprofessionalism, co-treats, and adaptability. At this rotation, I developed interventions around self-regulation, handwriting, feeding, and fine motor skills which I will carry over to a profession in pediatrics.
