  I currently work as a community care worker in Torfaen. This role requires me to work alone as well as alongside one other member of staff during double handed calls. I visit service users in their own homes and provide support such as personal care, preparing food and drinks, and carrying out domestic tasks. I also give the service user company as some live alone and have very little opportunity to socialise. The main aim of my role is to encourage the service users to be as independent as possible so they can remain living in their own homes.
