Queensland Museum Network (QMN) maintains a wet collection for the storage and preservation of biological specimens at the Queensland Museum South Bank. The samples are stored in ethanol. Due to the large quantity of ethanol storage, the wet store and associated lab spaces have been assessed as a hazardous zone. In this project, the biological specimens need to be moved safely from their current site to a more permanent location.
