Samantha Sayward
In the time that Kayla worked for the Alzheimer’s Association, she successfully assisted in managing 6 large scale fundraisers, third-party events and several education and training sessions. When delegated a task, you could trust that Kayla would exceed your expectations in a timely and efficient manner. She is a driven and stand out team player who shines under pressure when attention-to-detail and time management are key. I could rely on Kayla to effectively manage others in a fast-paced setting, without fail. Kayla also has excellent critical thinking and communication skills which made her pivotal to the success of fundraising, advocacy and program management. Our mission, in the time Kayla interned with us, could not have been achieved without her.

Kayla served as an Special Events Intern in the Alabama/Florida Panhandle Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. Kayla reported directly to me while I served as a Special Events Coordinator for the Pensacola office. Throughout her time as an intern, I met with Kayla frequently to assign responsibilities and discuss our company and industry. During this time, I noticed that Kayla excelled in sponsorship acquisition, marketing techniques, and volunteer management. Kayla takes every opportunity presented and shows great intiative within our organization. Her communication and leadership skills make her an asset to any team. In addition, Kayla is well spoken and intellectual, exhibiting a great degree of knowledge in psychology and the underlying structures of both nonprofits and corporations. As Kayla returns to Dartmouth to finish her Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Women's Studies with an emphasis on Asian and Middle Eastern studies, I am without a doubt that she will go on to contribute greatly to any team she joins.
