The school was great for developing the skills needed to be a successful interior designer. The access to High Point Furniture Market and work experience really enforced the teachings from my professors. I especially enjoyed senior year because it was about developing my design style and how to connect with clients. I am excited to see where my career goes after graduation. I was able to work one on one with designer Joyce Leibowitz on various client projects. Clients included residents as well as commercial projects in the D.C metro area including the beginning stages of The Palm bathroom renovation. It was a great experience to show me what the professional design world is like and how to adapt my skills learned in the classroom to real world design problems. The various stages I was involved with on client projects were: -Initial Client Meeting -Site Visit and Measurements -Completed AutoCAD drawings -Research of products for the clients specific needs -Presentation of completed designs
