I oversee the store's social media team that manages the store's online presence. We make posts based off of trends, promotions, sales, and monthly overviews. As a team, we collaborate on ideas and plan ahead on posts we hope to execute. We ensure the store's social media to reach an audience by applying SEO and metadata tags to all posts. As a lead on the team, it is also my responsibility to respond to direct messages and comments. I also recruit people to join the team and guide them on expectations that need to be maintain for the social media accounts. Aside from that, I perform bookseller duties such as improving the customer experience through excellent customer service, paying attention to store presentation, assisting in opening and closing the store in with everything in order and on time, requesting to have materials ordered based off of trends and sales, and have trained and supervised multiple new employees on the sales floor and the cafe department. Intern

Jun 2019 - Aug 2019
With two other interns, we collaborated on website building, research on local issues/concerns, and campaigning for Wanda Willingham, Albany County Legislator for the Third District. I was responsible for making newsletters and writing articles with the research we complied to be published on her website and shared with her colleagues and fellow legislators. Willingham personally requested to my return for same position after first interning with her in summer of 2018. I also worked with her (upon personal request) for about three weeks in the winter of 2018 to assist with post-election materials. Show less
