I have had the pleasure of knowing Kayla for several years. I first met Kayla in classes at Anderson University. She was always thoughtfully engaged in class content and discussions. Her critical insight was consistent, considered, and demonstrated an ability to conduct depth and thorough analysis of the principles and practice of a subject discipline. A great example of this ability was when Kayla conducted an independent study in strategic artist development. The study involved many aspects, including market derivation and analysis, perceptual mapping, and economic forecasting. Kayla embraced the challenge of strategically integrating the art (practice) and science (principles) of artist development. Her ability to embrace an interdisciplinary philosophy can be seen clearly in her excellent academic and emerging industry credentials. Leaving AU as the leading student in her major, having also gained a complementary major, a minor and a cognate is testimony to her hard work and commitment. Possessing industry experience with Disney, a local leading marketing agency and becoming an independent brand(t) marketing freelancer are all reflections of her tenacity. I know her recent move to a new role in Nashville will be a great success. Her professional acumen is being firmly established. I recommend Kayla without reservation.
