As a K Crew leader, I am the first face new students see when they arrive on campus for their week-long orientation, K Week. I lead and mentor these students through their transition into college life. Carota's Pizza is a pizza restaurant in Augusta, Kentucky, and they also offer a "Backdoor Ice Cream Stand" through a drive-through window type of service. My main responsibility is to run and maintain the ice cream window. I make ice creams, sundaes, milkshakes, banana splits and the like, and I also maintain the soft serve machine. Along with that, I help out in the restaurant itself by washing dishes, sweeping, making pizzas, and waiting tables. I began working at Subway when it was opened in my hometown of Brooksville, Kentucky. I was one of the first employees hired, and was there for opening day. I helped with inventory, labeling, stocking, making of sandwiches, preparing ingredients, cash register, bread making, washing dishes, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning bathrooms, among other tasks. I prided myself in excellent customer service, and was told many times that I was the most helpful and kind employee there. I left this establishment because it was only an after-school/ summer job, and I started attending college in Lexington, Kentucky, in August. Show less
