Selected by a Columbus City Council Member to be a Founding Member of The Black Girls' and Young Women's Collective, housed under The Center for Healthy Families and originally named The Commission on Black Girls. The Black Girls’ and Young Women’s Collective strives to transcend adversity by presenting opportunities for Black girls, young women, and gender expansive youth, aged 11-22, to share their perspectives and feel valued as leaders in their communities.
