I obtained a comprehensive understanding of lifestyle diseases including obesity and obesity-induced infertility complications in C57BL6J mice (immunocompromised obesity-prone) model, via evaluating the efficacy of nutraceuticals (Probiotic, Prebiotic & Synbiotic in fermented milk) in the improvement of these disorders. The major findings of my Ph.D. work were: •Developed an obese mice model by high-fat diet feeding dietary manipulations. Measured the estrus cycle irregularities that appeared in response to obesity through microscopy, Real-time – PCR, and ELISA assays and further confirmed by mating trials and pregnancy outcomes •Screened approximately 350+ mice for their estrus cycle variations in response to nutraceutical feeding continuously for 14 days and after consequent periods •Measured anti-oxidative status, liver inflammation, lipid profile, glucose homeostasis in liver and ovary tissues •Worked on metabolic diseases Obesity, Diabetes including infertility issues in female mice model and lead a team of 4 people •2 review papers and 1 research paper and 4 book chapters with 10+ popular articles in magazines and annual reports •Participated in 10+ conferences and received 1 best poster and 2 best oral presentations in the international conferences on Ph.D. research work •Worked on 4 projects, guided 3 M.Sc. students, and assisted 2 Ph.D. students •Official contributions to the organization of training (2), conferences, and international alumni meetings (1) in the parent institutions Show less

Project handled: Improving productivity of wheat through enhanced Nitrogen Use Efficiency The main aim of the project was to develop promising NUE (Nitrogen Use Efficient) varieties to suit the needs of resource-poor farmers of the country. •Studied the wheat genotypes with higher NUE molecular markers linked to component traits of NUE and analysis of genotypes for biochemical parameters. The work also involved field trial design, data collection, and data management •Identified 300+ varieties of wheat with higher NUE and prepare their design of experiments and collected the data from sowing till post-harvesting •One book chapter and many popular articles were published on scientific platforms along with research presentations at international conferences (oral presentations) Show less
