  This self-composed project aimed to renovate the conventional bascule bridge design by incorporating sensor technology for automated lifting and an innovative feature, which is real-time speed testing of water vehicles. As the project lead, initiated the entire design process, from conceptualization to fabrication and testing. The structural performance is analyzed using the finite element method, and calculations are conducted to determine the lifting efficiency of motors and to acknowledge what suspension forces are acting on the cable. Speed control has been added as an innovative feature during high-speed entry. Show less
