  In this role, I identified prospects for major and planned gifts for The University of Southern Mississippi Foundation. I cultivated and solicited Alumni, friends and organizations for the University. I coordinated records of all gifts donated to the University including major gifts, planned gifts, scholarships, naming opportunites and other endowments. I created and maintained donor relationships via telephone, personal visits, e-mails and letters. I entertained corporate representatives, friends and Alumni as necessary. I coordinated efforts for top priority initiatives and campaigns and served as a liason to donors for the USM Foundation and the President of the University for the purpose of promoting comprehensive campaigns, for example and most recently, the $36 million College of Business new Building project launched March 29,2011. We had a $10 million private fundraising campaign where I was influential in closing the $5 million gift (July 2011) that named the new College of Business Building, Scianna Hall, after USM College of Business 1975 alumnus Chuck Scianna out of the Houston, Texas area.
