One of the UK's leading suppliers of commercial wall and floor tiles. I manage a number of projects for some of our major clients including John Lewis, Vauxhall, Pizza Express and Hilton's Doubletree Hotels. Ensuring that all the measurements were correct out of the range of 60000 different types of products/ materials. And that the same care and quality have been consistently applied across all 50 projects a month.A typical order would involve flow as below:1. Receiving an order confirmation2. Reviewing all the order details, raising any concern to sales support/ client3. Calculating the costs based on measurements / style required, ensuring that the cuttings of the tiles is most cost effective for the clients.4. Liaise with supplier for final order confirmation/ issuing purchase order and invoice.5. Coordinating international shipments based on schedules. 6. Tracking order progress and ensuring clients are well informed, until shipments have been made successfully.7. Double check that all related documents/ communication have been correctly logged for future reference8. Providing after sales supports if required

Inspired by the BBC program and saw a potential market in selling unique styled hand made clothings, jewellery and accessories. It was still a rather new idea to sell goods online at the time, where sources of information were scarce. I researched into manufacturers from the far east, negotiated/ calculated best price per quantity, organised most cost effective shipments, set up an e-commerce web site, processed orders/ payments, dealt with any customer queries/ returns and kept up with the stock statuses. Eventually moved my shop into physical form and rent a shop in West Field's Merry Hill shopping mall in Brierley Hill. From which I obtained wider hands on skills such as shop floor/ staffs management, visual merchandise, marketing/ promotions and managing additional costs by putting in over 15 hours a day.
