I supported the Buying Channels Manager, assisting Outlet & Subprime production and managed the development process with our suppliers. I worked closely with our merchandising team to develop seasonal range plans for Menswear and Womenswear, and was solely responsible for the Accessories department, negotiating cost prices with factories to achieve high margins in budget. I maintained the delivery schedule, working alongside Logistics, allowing me to understand and manage the critical path. I attended fit sessions, making adjustments to improve the fit and styling. I approved lab dips based on our seasonal pantone colour palette and styling/trims, which were carefully sourced. I regularly compared competition and developed ranges that were in line with our customer’s needs and price architecture, continuously analysing previous seasons history & line cards. Our department effectively met annual forecasting and the departmental targets, and I pulled reports every Monday for trade meetings. I developed strong relationships with the Subprime buyers and suppliers and enjoyed developing on trend product true to our brand.

    • Off-price Co-ordinator
      • Feb 2015 - Oct 2015

Assisting the Off-price manager, I was in charge of raising POs/SOs, managing the critical path, maintaining the delivery schedule, updating the seasonal range plan, managing the off-price sample library, running weekly reports, along with general admin for the department. I regularly had meetings with our customers & suppliers and developed strong relationships with the buyers & factories. I worked closely with our design team and garment technologists to create ‘True Crew’ Menswear, Womenswear, Accessories, Outer-wear & Loungewear appealing to the customer and assisting with approvals of styling and fit samples.

I dealt with suppliers for stock levels and orders and liaised with the buyers regarding their buys, orders and collection. I organised photo shoots for the new collections and update the website with new products and information regarding the brand. I now have experience using Magento and Wordpress. My job at Jane Taylor very fast pace and it required a lot of organisation. I am now confident and experienced at managing tasks efficiently with excellent time management.

    • Tory Burch Brand Manager
      • Mar 2010 - Jan 2013

I manage the Tory Burch area and am responsible for merchandising my stock. I write brand reports every 2 weeks for the Tory Burch sales manager and the Harvey Nichols buyers to discuss the performance of the brand and customer feedback. I am very knowledgeable of the brand and my customer, delivering good customer service and acknowledging the customers’ needs. I meet with the Harvey Nichols buyers in Milan or head office and go on the buys for my brand, which allows me to see the new collections for seasons in advance. I use my skills from the shop floor and my knowledge of manufacturing processes of various fabrics from my fashion degree to suggest the relevant style for my customer. I consider the visual merchandising when buying the collection and suggest sizing, prints and colours.

    • Buying Internship
      • Mar 2012 - Apr 2012

I worked for the buying team at Head Office for the duration of a month. I learnt the role of a Buying Admin Assistant gaining experience with both Menswear and Womenswear. I logged orders, raised POs, ran sell-through reports for the suppliers weekly, and reports for the assistant Buyers and Buyers. I was relied upon by several members of the team and aimed to complete every task before the end of the day. I liaised with suppliers and relied heavily on my organisation and computer skills.

    • Polo Ralph Lauren Assistant Brand Manager
      • Jan 2010 - Mar 2010

I worked for Polo Ralph Lauren as Assistant Brand Manager. During this period I was trained in visual merchandising and shop floor layout. I attended training meetings and came in early/ stayed late when adjustments were being made to the area. I helped re-arrange the corner and was responsible for its upkeep, and on a regular basis I wrote brand reports stating the performance of Ralph Lauren. I also met with the Ralph Lauren Visual merchandiser, and in my own time, helped merchandise the corner at Harrods.
