Katy was an excellent student worker, her eagerness to learn new tasks and help out in difficult situations was greatly appreciated. Katy did many different task while at 3M such as performing analytical tests, such as IR, Rheology, GC, and HPLC. Katy also performed titration tests for the etch and anodize baths. Katy has a very positive friendly personality and works very well in team settings. Katy is willing on take on any task, no task is too big or too small, she is eager to learn and apply skills. The experience she obtained at 3M and her education training will make Katy an asset to any company.

I was a student researcher for my organic chemistry professor Dr.Herati where I participated in the synthesis and characterization of chitosan derivatives as possible non-viral gene therapy agents. The intention of the research is to see if the synthesis of chitosan derivatives and ligands will increase DNA complexation and solubility to promote it's biomedical application as a gene delivery agent.
