  K Line Offshore is a subsidiary of the Japanese shipping company Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (“K” Line). Together with it s joint venture partner ADS Offshore AS, “K” Line formed “K” Line Offshore AS in Arendal in October 2007, as its vehicle to build a large scale offshore service business working with the oil and gas industry. The focus is on very large Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessels and Platform Supply Vessels (PSV). A total of 2 AHTS vessels and 4 PSVs will be delivered from October 2010 till July 2011. The building projects are being supervised by OSM Consultants AS and technical management will be carried out by OSM Ship Management AS. As of today, “K” Line Offshore operates one PSV, the “KL Arendalfjord”, in the North Sea market. “K” Line Offshore has decided to expand its organisation in Arendal, Norway and has ambitions to become a leading player in the global offshore support industry.
