Kat is a self starter who never quits. If I were still working as a General Manager of a major distribution organization I would hire her in a heart beat.
Scott Fleming
I have had the privilege of working with Kat for several years now as a member of the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Greensboro. She brings a positive outlook, passion and energy to any project she coordinates. She is extremely well organized and has a keen attention to detail. More importantly, she excels at developing meaningful relationships with people serving in all capacities in the organization....volunteers, staff, board members and the community at large. In particular her connection with our volunteers (the heartbeat of our organization) is genuine and heartfelt. She loves our volunteers and they love her right back. This was evident in our recent volunteer recognition program where Kat received warm cheers and embraces from our award winners and the volunteers present at the program. Most recently I joined Kat on an international mission trip. During the course of the trip one of our team suffered a serious injury. From the moment the injury occurred until the moment we arrived safely back home Kat demonstrated great leadership skills, empathy and support to our teammate. She made the three plus hour journey to the hospital, stayed with them through the required surgery, dealt with the administrative details involved in coordinating a medical procedure in a foreign country and was of invaluable emotional and physical support on the flight home. Despite being exhausted, hungry and stressed Kat set her own needs aside to help her teammate, and by extension, the entire team. It was a strong an example of leadership in crisis as I have ever witnessed. For all of those reasons and for many more than I could write here I heartily recommend Kat for any project, job or assignment that can benefit from her unique set of skills and her genuine passion and commitment to the service of others.
