(Seasonal) The third summer I was promoted to Recreation Supervisor. This position required me to harness more customer service skills, while still having a backbone. As a relatively skinny young woman just starting her second year in college, the real challenge of this job was to get adults to respect me as a superior. Most of my confrontation arose when people walked in without their tag and I had to escort them out. I learned to hold my own in a difficult situation and to stand firm to the goals set by the company’s rules. My other duties included: • Monitored recreation activity • Managed 30 recreation guards • Filed paperwork and creating time sheets Show less
