We provided 24/7 health services in the Centenary Hospital for Women and Children, community health centres, child and family centres, schools and in people’s homes. My role was to ensure systems for clinical, professional and corporate governance operated effectively, including accreditation standards, financial and budget management, ensuring business objectives and KPI’s are achieved, risks are managed and resources are used appropriately. I was also the Executive Sponsor for the $50M Expansion of the Centenary Hospital for Women and Children.

We provided 24/7 health services in hospitals, community health centres, detention centres and in people’s homes. I was responsible for ensuring systems for clinical, professional and corporate governance operated effectively, including accreditation standards, financial and budget management, ensuring business objectives and KPI’s are achieved, risks are managed and resources are used appropriately. throughout this period I was also the Executive Sponsor for a number of infrastructure projects that supported the growth of the ACT mental health service system. The role held significant statutory accountability under the Mental Health Act 2015 and the Secure Mental Health Facilities Act 2016.

  ACT Community Health was a complex multidisciplinary service with 550 FTE, across the ACT that provided a broad range of community based services. Including community nursing, maternal and child nursing services, dental services, alcohol and drug services, prison based services and the Community Health intake line. It had a significant leadership and strategic role in the planning and development of community based services across the ACT. The General Manager was responsible for ensuring systems for clinical and corporate governance operated effectively within the Division, including accreditation standards, financial and budget management, ensuring business objectives and KPI’s are achieved, risks are managed and resources are used appropriately.
