I have the pleasure of working with Katie McNealy on the Baltimore GiveCamp event, which I'm a Co-Organizer and Volunteer Director for. GiveCamp is a technical charity initiative that organizes 200+ technology volunteers to help 25-30 local nonprofits with their website and database needs each year, saving them an estimated $500,000 in technology and resource costs. Katie was a tremendous help throughout the GiveCamp process. She assisted with writing marketing materials, logistics, registration, nonprofit communication and coordination, volunteer communication and coordination, social media, and assisted with sponsor, volunteer and nonprofit recognition and appreciation. She unselfishly donated much of her time prior to GiveCamp, and was a consistent presence throughout the 48-hour event. Her positive attitude, willingness to contribute where needed, exceptional communication skills, and role as a Social Media (Twitter & Facebook) Contributor made a huge impact in ensuring GiveCamp was a successful event!
