When I took over events for Intouch, I knew I wanted to have our holiday party at the Midland Theatre, because of how beautiful the space is. The Midland's history and ambiance made it the perfect choice for our 600-guest event, and it did not disappoint. As someone new to planning events, I relied heavily on the recommendations from Katie and the Midland staff. They provided suggestions and guidance on everything - the theme of the event, things they've seen that had been a big hit, a photographer, caterers, entertainment; and even helped work with us to make sure we were able to make the event fit within our budget. Everything went so smoothly that the overwhelming message was to hold our holiday event at the Midland each year. Since then, I've had the opportunity to work with many other venues and teams while planning out of town events and Katie and her team at the Midland are still my favorite, by far. I haven't yet found another team as helpful, experienced and overall enjoyable to work with, and the Midland events have definitely been my favorite to plan and attend. If you're looking for a venue with a wow-factor and planning team that will help you with an event that will not be forgotten, the Midland is definitely your best bet in KC!

I've had the opportunity to work with Katie and the Midland Theatre staff a number of times. It's not a sell the space and then you're on your own experience. The whole team is very hands on, very responsive, and able to be flexible when the scope of my event changes (often last minute). And the Midland - come on. Great acoustics, plenty of seating (I think it holds around 2,200) and their crew is is willing and able to partner with my AV staff to put on a great program. Katie is usually one of my first calls when we're looking for an off-site venue. Consist, do what they say they will do, and responsive - all the things that keep me coming back.
