During my 6 months working at CES, I learnt a variety of transferable skills that would help me further my skill set working in an administrative environment. I assisted with general admin duties, including updating the CRM database with client information and quality checking documents. I learnt to take a lead role in supporting the manager with the creation of publications, along with email marketing campaigns and conducting market research. I experienced participating in Tele-sales duties which aided me in becoming confident on the phone and building an excellent telephone rapport

During my time working part time at Holland & Barrett, I not only learnt how to give excellent customer service and up-to-date information on our health products, I also gained a GCSE & A-level equivalent qualification in Vitamins & Minerals along the way. As Holland & Barrett employees are known as the ‘Wise Owls’ it was incredibly important for each employee to be trained to the highest degree so we were giving the best & most accurate advice to our customers. I immediately jumped at the opportunity to develop my skills and the GCSE course took me 6-8 months to complete, this was then immediately followed by gaining a A-level equivalent qualification not long after that.
