As a Team Leader I coordinated the activities of 9 corps members, ages 18-24, in service projects that generally lasted 6-8 weeks in the areas of natural and other disasters, infrastructure improvement, environmental stewardship and conservation, energy conservation, and urban and rural development. All of the projects I completed are listed under my experiences. Below is an overview of my duties as a Team Leader: -Supervised, motivated, directed, and coordinated a team of young adults in a structured program of service, education, and training; maintained order; developed positive team morale; fostered teamwork; monitored standards of behavior; ensured the safety of the members, modeled a good work ethic and worked alongside members to set the work pace. Planed daily and weekly team schedules that resulted in the execution of project objectives. Managed service-learning projects, locally at Vinton campus or spikes (sites away from the main campus where teams establish temporary living arrangements for up to two months). Assisted and supported member development through regular assessment, goal setting, and the development of leadership skills.
